What is BMR?

Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) is the number of calories your body needs to maintain basic life-sustaining functions at rest. Your Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE) factors in your activity level to estimate how many calories you burn per day. The Mifflin-St Jeor equation (1990) is considered the most accurate for most people.
